Our Story

“It was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant that we were supposed to be together.”    -Sleepless in Seattle

Almost three years ago, on the fifth day of June, is the date our story officially began. Born in the same city, graduated from the same college, and only four years apart, our paths crossed on Facebook just five months prior. A lengthy string of messages about the Rose Bowl, our life, and future goals turned into long phone conversations as we talked for hours about life, faith, and family.

Through distance and time over the next several months, we learned how similarly we were raised and how much living a Christ centered life meant to both of us. Independently as teenagers, we both had made commitments, honoring God to wait until marriage.

A meeting in California was inevitable as the two of us grew closer and decided to attend a wedding together for close friends from Stanford. It took five months for the two of us to finally meet for dinner on the night before our friends’ wedding, June 5, 2014. Rocket anxiously waited in the lobby of a Los Angeles hotel as I finished getting ready. I was nervous, but excited to finally see him.

How was our first meeting? So amazing that two weeks later, Rocket and I started dating officially, across miles, oceans and continents.

We were married June 5, 2016, two years to the date of our first date! Our adventures spanned the United States and have continued to many destinations across the world.
